Hi, I’m Mariel
I empower brands and companies to grow through creativity and a touch of humor
If you’re into stories, strategy, and chocolate, we’re already on the same page!
I help companies strengthen their market presence and optimize marketing investments with expertise in GTM execution, digital marketing, and international market expansion.
Strengthening brands, engaging customers, and driving revenue growth through strategic marketing leadership are among my core strengths. By aligning cross-functional efforts with data-driven insights, I ensure that marketing strategies not only resonate with target audiences but also deliver measurable business impact. My leadership fosters collaboration across sales, product, and customer success teams, ensuring that every campaign is both strategic and results-driven.
Looking for a Marketing Leader?
I believe great leadership starts with empathy, and I bring that mindset into everything I do. Whether it’s guiding a team through shifting priorities or crafting strategies that align with a company’s vision, I stay focused on getting results.
I thrive in dynamic environments, balancing big-picture thinking with hands-on execution. Organization, clear communication, and a genuine passion for collaboration are at the heart of my approach. But beyond the work itself, I care deeply about the people I work with—because the best ideas (and the best teams) come from a culture of trust, creativity, and shared success.

Shaping brand messaging that truly connects with the audience. Ensuring a cohesive brand presence across every platform.

Enhancing visibility through SEO, paid ads, and targeted campaigns. Leveraging automation to boost engagement.

Crafting and executing strategic go-to-market plans. Driving awareness through promotional campaigns and events.

Equipping sales teams with impactful collateral and tools. Designing campaigns tailored for both B2B and B2C audiences.

Creating compelling content for websites, blogs, and media. Simplifying complex concepts into clear and engaging narratives.

Building, mentoring, and empowering strong marketing teams. Overseeing budgets and aligning strategies with business goals.
I’ve always been curious about how creativity, strategy, and human behavior come together—so my education journey reflects just that!
I started with a Bachelor’s in Marketing & Advertising at Tec de Monterrey, then added a Master’s in Administration to better understand how businesses grow. Later, my love for storytelling led me to a Master’s in Digital Art & Animation at Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña. And because I’m fascinated by how people think and communicate, I also earned a certification in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming).
Each step has shaped how I approach marketing—mixing strategy with a touch of creativity and a whole lot of heart.
I started my journey in marketing the moment I graduated with my bachelor’s degree.
My first role as a CRM Manager at a Volkswagen and SEAT dealership threw me right into the action—I wasn’t just managing customer relationships, I was doing it all.
From planning car launches and promotions to updating the website and following up with customers, I got a firsthand look at how marketing and customer service work hand in hand.
Eager to strengthen my business acumen, I pursued a master’s degree in Bussiness Administration.
But my curiosity didn’t stop there — I later took a master’s in Digital Art and Animation, which led me into the world of education.
As Head of the Digital Art and Animation program at Tec de Monterrey, I had the chance to teach both marketing and art courses, and that’s when I fell in love with teaching.
I carried that passion into my next role as a marketing instructor and mentor at Universidad Tecnológica de León, where I designed courses, mentored students, and guided them through their co-op experiences.
Then, life took an exciting turn—I moved to Canada and transitioned back into the corporate world as a Marketing Coordinator at RamSoft, a medical imaging SaaS company.
I managed vendor relationships, organized events, created marketing materials, and crafted email communications. In time, I became a Marketing Specialist, refining marketing processes, optimizing trade show strategies, and enhancing brand engagement through content, videos, and social media—while also adapting materials for the LATAM market.
My growth at RamSoft continued, and I eventually stepped into the role of Marketing Manager.
I started by leading a small but mighty team of two, and over time, I personally hired, trained, and managed more and more talented individuals until our team grew to eight.
I had the opportunity to shape and execute marketing strategies, oversee budgets, and collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, and customer success teams.
From global events and PR communications to website updates, content creation, advertising, and brand positioning, I ensured that every marketing initiative aligned with the company’s vision.
Most importantly, I fostered an environment where my team could thrive and collaborate seamlessly.
After an incredible journey at RamSoft, I embarked on a new adventure—marketing consulting.
I’ve since helped companies refine their branding, communications, advertising, website strategies, and inbound marketing efforts.
Through every role, every challenge, and every success, I’ve learned that marketing is not just about strategy and execution—it’s about relationships, storytelling, and making meaningful connections. And for that, I am truly grateful.
I’ve always been drawn to the perfect blend of creativity and strategy, which led me to earn degrees in marketing, administration, and digital arts. With a passion for storytelling and problem-solving, I’ve built a career mastering the tools and platforms that bring brands to life and drive real impact.
I’ve seen campaigns fail not because they lacked creativity, but because their message was muddled. Over the years, I’ve learned that the best marketing doesn’t just sound good—it makes people feel something and know exactly what to do next. Behavioral insights have shown me that clarity isn’t just nice to have; it’s what moves people to act.
After leading multiple rebranding efforts, I’ve learned that trust isn’t built with a big announcement—it’s in the everyday details. A website that feels intuitive, a product that delivers on its promise, and messaging that stays consistent across every touchpoint are what make people believe in a brand. When those pieces align, loyalty follows.
Early on, I saw how a well-crafted campaign could generate excitement, but real success came when it was backed by a unified effort. The most impactful results happened when sales, product, and marketing worked in sync—reinforcing the message at every step and turning strategy into real outcomes.
Managing large budgets taught me that every dollar is an opportunity to refine, optimize, and drive impact. The key isn’t just spending wisely—it’s tracking performance, adjusting strategies, and ensuring that every investment moves the business forward.
Now that you’ve seen my marketing side, here’s a sneak peek at life beyond the laptop!
I like chocolate in almost all its versions—dark, milk, white… if it’s chocolate, I’m in.
If an article is about psychology, chances are I’ve already clicked on it and started reading.
Fiction books always call my name, but historical fiction has a way of pulling me in every time.
I never forget acts of kindness or empathy; they stick with me forever.
Drawing and painting unleashes my creativity (though sometimes it runs wild).
I like playing the piano, and once in a lifetime, I even wrote a song… it’s still waiting to be a hit.
I am an avid shower singer—the shampoo bottle has never complained.
I’m drawn to lighthearted humor. It makes conversations (and life) way more fun.
Writing is my way of connecting with people, whether it’s telling a story or sharing a thought.
(Promise I Didn’t Bribe Them) 😉
Drop me a message—whether it’s about your marketing needs or just want to argue that pineapple does belong on pizza (I have thoughts).
